I have spent more than four decades at the intersection of strategy, technology, data, and leadership — in wartime intelligence operations, in corporate boardrooms, in government offices, and on the front lines of organizational transformation. I founded CSuite2Go because I believe that the kind of executive experience I have built should be accessible to any organization that needs it, not just those that can afford a full-time C-suite hire.

“I am a strategic leader, change agent, and connector. I see things others miss, and I build things that last.”

What I Bring

My career spans three distinct worlds — and the ability to connect them is my greatest differentiator:

Military Intelligence & National Security

I retired from the U.S. Air Force after 21 years of service, including combat operations. I was one of only 13 Airborne Intelligence Officers in the entire USAF — trained to assimilate up to 16 intelligence data feeds and make decisions in near-real-time under adversarial conditions. I co-authored the concept of operations for U.S. Cyber Command, presented to Pentagon and Congressional leaders in 1997. I developed the DoD and Department of Homeland Security standard for critical infrastructure vulnerability analysis. I hold a retired TS/SCI clearance with Special Access Programs.

Fortune 500 & Enterprise Leadership

I have served as Acting CIO for a global Fortune 500 company, leading a $200M Program Management Office with a 600-project portfolio. I consolidated three Strategic Business Units integrating 160+ interfaces and 61 systems, saving $3M on time and on budget. I served as VP of Information Security Operations at Washington Mutual — then the largest mortgage lender in North America — where I built the company’s first Computer Security Incident Response Team. I have governed compliance programs spanning SOX, HIPAA, GLBA, PCI-DSS, NIST CSF/800-53, COBIT, ISO 27000, and SOC 2.

Government & Public Sector

I served as Maine’s inaugural State Chief Data Officer — the first person to hold that role in the state’s history. I authored CDO enabling legislation, a 10-year strategic plan, and a complete data governance suite including data classification standards, data quality and metadata frameworks, a Data Ethics and AI Handling Framework, and a Data Maturity Assessment that has since been adopted as a national model by multiple U.S. state governments. I built programs that will outlast my tenure — which is always the goal.

My Leadership Philosophy — POETIC

I lead by a framework I call POETIC. It is not a slogan. It is how I actually operate:

Purpose-Driven — every initiative earns its place by serving the mission. I ask ‘why?’ five times.

Optimize Processes — slow down to speed up. Build for endurance, not just urgency.

Empower People — people, data, process, technology, in that order. Always.

Transform Data into Actionable Intelligence — data has no value until someone makes a better decision because of it.

Implement Enabling Technology — one step back from the bleeding edge. Technology serves the mission.

Compassionate Leadership — be there when the team is losing. Celebrate success.
